When is the perfect time for Support & Maintenance?

Nobody owns the site

The team that built it finished and moved on. Updates stopped, access is scattered, and nobody can say when a backup was last restored.

Customers find the expiries

You learn the SSL certificate or the domain lapsed because someone emailed you about a browser warning, not because a monitor flagged it weeks earlier.

Updates keep getting postponed

Plugin and framework updates are deferred because nobody is confident the site survives them. The security backlog grows for as long as the decision waits.

Releases go out unchecked

A layout breaks on a Thursday deploy and stays broken until someone happens to open that page on a phone the following week.

Backups nobody has restored

A backup job reports success every night. Nobody has taken one and rebuilt the site from it, so whether it actually works is still an open question.

An auditor asks for evidence

A procurement or compliance questionnaire wants patch history and uptime records, and everything you have is in someone's memory.

How We Approach Support & Maintenance

Support & Maintenance
Your Path to Operational Success

Our Experts align your business goals with user needs to achieve better results.

Step 01
Take over the estate

We inventory hosting, DNS, certificates, plugin and theme versions, and who holds access. Credentials that had been passed around get rotated, and the inventory is written down where your team can read it without asking us.

Step 02
Clear the existing backlog

Routine care layered over an unfixed backlog only hides it. Outstanding CVEs, expiries close to the wire and pages broken by an old release are dealt with before any cycle starts.

Step 03
Instrument and set the baseline

Monitoring goes on and a visual baseline is captured. We also agree in writing what counts as an emergency and what waits for the next window, while nothing is on fire.

Step 04
Run the maintenance cycle

Updates are applied to a staging copy, checked visually and functionally, then released. You get a written account of what changed, what was patched, and what is aging.

Step 05
Review the estate

On an interval we agree with you, we look at what broke, what is approaching end of life, and what should be replaced instead of maintained for another year. Sometimes the honest recommendation is to stop patching and plan the replacement.

Business Outcome
  • One accountable owner for the site, and a named person to call when something breaks.
  • A single 0–100 health score, so the state of each site is a number anyone on your side can check.
  • Update decisions carry evidence: which plugin is aging, which dependency is unsupported, what it costs to leave it alone.
  • Emergencies get rarer, and the ones that still happen follow a response you agreed in advance.
Talk About Ongoing Support

What Support & Maintenance Covers

Continuous signal monitoring

We run Maintena, our own WordPress monitoring product, on the sites we look after. Eleven signals are sampled continuously — uptime, SSL and domain expiry, performance and traffic among them — and six roll into a single 0–100 health score.

CVE matching and patching

Published vulnerabilities are matched against the exact plugin and theme versions your site actually runs, so you hear about the ones that affect you. We patch on a schedule, and off-schedule when severity justifies it.

Visual regression against a baseline

Pages are compared against a stored visual baseline. A layout that a plugin update breaks is caught by the check, and nobody has to notice it scrolling on a phone first.

Performance measured as Google measures it

Core Web Vitals are tracked against Google's own thresholds. A slow page becomes a number with a date attached, and the regression joins the fix list with everything else we owe you.
